Welcome to my Blog
Hello and a warm welcome to my blogπCycling π΄βοΈ for me is a passion and writing about some the experiences, places, joys, food and people I've met is a joy. I'm not claiming to be a bike expert, a writing expert for that matter. If you read my blogs and stories thank you,π if you don't that's also fine, after all we can't all like everything.
π If you haven’t tried cycling yet, give it a go, it can be addictive and very enjoyable.π΄βοΈπ.
If you have an old bike buried in the back of the shed somewhere, drag it out, give it a clean, check it over, makes sure the brakes work, the tyres are pumped up, the handlebars are facing the right direction and it’s safe to ride.
Go out on your own, with family or friends, within the UK, there are lots of small lanes, trails, bridleways, bike tracks and cycle paths you can use. Stop and have a coffee/tea and maybe even a cake……cycling is proven to be good for you, it doesn’t put pressure on the joints like running does, it can keep you active, you can get to see some wonderful wildlife, it’s environmentally friendly and hopefully will put a smile on your face.
You don’t even have to go far, start slowly and build yourself up. 1 mile today, maybe 1 & 1/2 or 2 tomorrow and see how you feel. Maybe even set yourself a goal of 5 or 10 miles or km’s but the end of a month.
Lots of rides organised by British Cycling are Free so its’s always worth checking out their website. Look under Guided rides, Community Rides, Breeze rides (Ladies only) Family rides. Their website will give you the details of where to meet, how long the ride is, the route etc. You book a FREE PLACE and rock up with a suitable bike, what’s not to like.π΄βοΈπ΄βοΈπ΄βοΈπ΄βοΈ π
It does not matter what floats your boat (so to speak), cycling π΄βοΈ, swimming πβοΈ, runningπβοΈ, golfποΈβοΈ, knitting π§Ά, watching films π½οΈ, reading books π, gardening π¨πΎ, cooking π¨π³ or any other hobby you could name…. My advice would be go for it and do what makes you smile, do what lifts your mood and makes you feel happy.
Cycling is a great way to see a Country and if you take a wrong turn along the way, then that’s fine go with it and enjoy. It’s the people, the experiences and the way you feel that’s important.
I hope you enjoy reading about my travels π΄βοΈπ leave me a comment about your rides, I’m sure myself and other people will be inspired and enjoy knowing about your experience
