So 2025!!

February turned out to be pretty soggy over here in my corner of the UK, which didn’t exactly make getting outside sound like the best idea. So, Zwift became my workout buddy for most of the month. That said, we did get a few decent days, and you know what that means—gravel rides through the stunning Sherwood Forest! Those rides? Oh, they were *muddy*. Like, seriously messy. But so much fun (even if cleaning the bike afterward felt like a whole workout in itself! 😲). The forest rides were totally worth it, though. There’s just something awesome about spotting wildlife—deer, rabbits, squirrels, and even birds of prey. It’s the kind of stuff you’d probably miss if you were just walking or cruising by in a car. And to top it all off, I couldn’t resist grabbing a toasted panini afterward. Let’s just say it was gone in seconds—pretty sure I inhaled it! 😊😁

January around here in the UK has been a bit of everything—freezing cold, snowy, wet, and mostly grey. But hey, we've also had a few stunning winter days that were crisp, bright, and totally gorgeous. Classic British weather, right? ❄️

A massive shoutout to everyone who shared their 2025 goals! Seriously, I’d love to hear how you’re getting on—whether it’s updates on your training or how your events went. Don’t keep us in the dark, let us know! 😊😊

A bunch of folks in my running group are gearing up for the Manchester Marathon with Sean. Good luck, guys! I know you’ve all been putting in the hard work, and I’m sure you’ll smash those goals. Go get it! πŸƒ‍♂️πŸ’ͺ

Ben, it’s awesome seeing you get into cycling! Keep us updated on those long rides—especially the epic 205 km ones. That’s next-level stuff! 🚴‍β™‚οΈπŸ«¨

Kaz, your photos from New Zealand and Australia were amazing! I can’t wait to see the ones from Greenland. Keep doing your thing—cycling, running, and most importantly, loving every second of it! 😊

Winter gravel riding can be an absolute blast! For me, it’s all about layering up as much as possible—thick socks, lobster gloves, and a trusty snood are essential before heading out into the cold. With 38mm wide tires on my bike, I feel much safer tackling trails compared to navigating icy roads. Plus, let’s be honest—it’s a whole lot more fun! 😁

I’m currently gearing up for three exciting challenges: cycling from Munich to Rome, biking along Hadrian’s Cycle Way with an amazing group of friends, and swimming the 10 km Dart. 😁😲🫨 While my swimming style could generously be described as "slow" (or even "very slow"), and my technique leaves plenty of room for improvement, I’m not in it to win medals. If there were a prize for last place, I’d probably take it! 🀣 But for me, this is all about pushing my own limits and embracing the challenge—nothing more, nothing less.

What ever you are doing and whenever you are doing it, let us know, it is always good to read about what other people are doing. 😁

If you are doubting yourself in any way, believe in yourself.

Sow I finally have plans. We’re on a cycle tour of Sri Lanka next month and then booked for 7 days in the Dordogne in July before moving east to watch the Tour de France near Ventoux, before it heads into the Alps.

Wow, those sound like Epic trips. A cycle tour of Sri Lanka, that will present so many wonderful sights, smells and food. The Dordogne will be lovely and hopefully not to hot & topping it off watching the Tour de France, sounds absolutely perfect. We definitely need to know how things go. 😁
